Department of Computer Science & Engineering

Introduction

Department is established in the year 1997 with the goal to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the current tools & techniques along with appropriate process for the software development, selection & analysis of requirements, architecture and design, implementation, verification & validation of software systems. In addition, the program pays attention to the issue related to communication network & teamwork. Currently there are 2 Computer Centers having 110 computers of latest configurations out of which one Computer Center is having 90 computers satisfying the requirement for ISRO-EDUSAT-III project of Online Classes and Online Campus Placement activities powered by 30 KVA Online UPS. The Department has facility of conducting online classes in Computer Centre as well as in Lecture Halls with the help of LCD Projector. Department has its library to provide students another source of knowledge apart from the course books. 6 batches are already passed out with good academic results.

Admission Procedure

Admission is on the basis of Merit at All India Engg. Entrance Examination (AIEEE) conducted by CBSE, New Delhi and at Pre Engineering/Pharmacy Test (PEPT), conducted by Professional Examination Board, Bhopal (M.P.). The Distributed Online Counseling is conducted by ECCA, R. G. P. V., Bhopal. Out of the total in-take, 65% seats are filled with students coming through PEPT and 20% seats are filled with students coming through AIEEE and remaining 15% seats are filled with students coming through Management Quota. The fee payable is as per directives of the State Govt. / AICTE and at par with other Professional Engineering Colleges of the state. Management Quota students are admitted provided they have secured minimum 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at 10+2 level. Vacant seats (if any) will be filled on merit basis depending on PCM marks at 10+2 level through Local Counseling conducted by college in presence of DTE representatives appointed by ECCA. The rules for admission procedure are subject to alteration /modification at any time, with the approval of Government of Madhya Pradesh, without any prior notice to the student .
